Krafty Knitters

What does ministry mean for this group? Friendship, fellowship, fun, food and serving the community, not just locally, but we have sent items all over the world. While we call ourselves knitters, if you have another craft hobby, you are welcome to bring it or if you want to learn to knit, we will teach you, or if you just want to come and chat. As with all things Anglican, food is always a part of our time together.

The group usually meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 2 – 4pm. Throughout most of the year we meet in the lower hall of the church, but in the summer, we meet in Anne Silvey’s backyard. The garden is well shaded, you just need to bring a lawn chair.

Some of the projects we have been involved with are the fundraising stalls and tables at the church and at other local craft sales. We also make to give away prayer shawls, prayer squares, baby blankets, comfort dolls, newborn beanies, slippers and now we are making baptism blankets and shawls to give to the newly baptized. For more information about our ministry please contact Anne Silvey.
