COVID-19 Safety Measures

We are committed to making your shopping experience a safe one! Volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated, and masks are mandatory for volunteers and customers. Air purifiers have recently been installed as an extra layer of precaution.

Benefits of the 2nd Hand Shop

Our shop is the most effective ongoing fundraiser for our church! As well as helping with regular expenses, maintenance, and repairs, it enables us to do even more outreach than would be possible otherwise!

  • Outreach ministry to the community – quality items at extremely low prices.
  • Many items free for persons referred to us from shelters and the like.
  • Substantial donations of household items and clothing to newly arrived refugee families.

Your Valuable Support

We welcome donations of new and nearly new items in clean, excellent condition. Re-use, re-cycle!

Please do not drop off items without first contacting Sheryl MacPhail to ask if the shop can handle those particular items. Space is limited and there is no room for excess items or items that do not sell well.

And, if it is something you would not buy for yourself, chances are no one else would either— please do not leave it with us.

Thank-you for your continued support! We hope you will find a treasure in our shop, or donate a treasure for someone else to find!

We are looking for donations of winter clothing, coats, and boots.

Items we do not accept:

  • any books
  • electronics of any kind
  • stuffed animals
  • large furniture
  • used cosmetics

Our shop will continue to proudly support our community. We have sent pyjamas and nightgowns to Bradford Valley; partnered with “The Community Action Program for Children” and provided clothing for all ages free of charge; and donated scarves, hats and sweaters to guests of the Community Meal at past Friday Night Dinners.
